Thursday, March 7 to Saturday, March 17 I Devil May Care  Written by Northwestern alum, Kendall Sherwood, ‘Devil May Care’ finds two residents of a small town with disparate experiences of faith challenging the other’s motives for being in an empty church at midnight.  Lost in their lives and beliefs, they will be redefined by this chance encounter.

Friday, March 9 I CAROLINE PLANTÉ -8REFLEXIONES Introduced to flamenco guitar at an early age by her father, Montreal-born Caroline Planté is one of the rare women who plays flamenco guitar professionally. Since 2005, she travels between Montreal and Madrid where she also is the musical director, composer and interpreter of Madrid based company Cruceta Flamenco. Her ‘8reflexiones,’ a debut after 17 years of onstage and compositional experience, is an absolute success. It is the first flamenco album entirely composed and performed by a female guitarist. Integrating jazz and even electronica into her sound, Planté and renowned Madrid choreographer, dancer and percussionist Mariano Cruceta offer listeners an intimate taste of this singular music along with the DJ J.Godino and flamenco singer Pedro Obregon. Thursday, March 1 I Fulton Street Sessions  TUTA present’s Fulton Street Sessions, written by TUTA, directed by Artistic Director Zeljko Djukic, with original music by Trey Maclin.  Fulton Street Sessions is a cabaret-style production in the form of a collection of sketches, musical numbers, and interludes capturing the essence of current national and local news bulletins, social, cultural and political gossips.

Friday, March 2 to Sunday, March 4 I Bee Movie Weekend  Support the Chicago Honey Co-op as it moves to a new site in March 2012. Join Logan Square Kitchen for a screening of the documentary “The Vanishing of the Bees” narrated by Ellen Page. Tickets nclude a movie seat and your choice of snack or drink. Additional snacks available for purchase, plus a cash bar.  Portion of ticket and concession sales go to the Chicago Honey Co-op. This experiential “translation” remixes Shakespeare’s original story by means of sound, object, bodies and creative juiciness. A directing ensemble of nine of the top young directors in Chicago welcome you into this extraordinary theatrical event. Thursday, February 2 I PETER PAN’S SHADOW PART ONE: NEVERLAND  Dream Theatre Company presents the first play of its season-long trilogy: PETER PAN’S SHADOW PART ONE: NEVERLAND, the world premier of a new show by Jeremy Menekseoglu. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Peter’s younger sister set out on a harrowing adventure that will result in the birth of Neverland, the accidental creation of Peter’s shadow, and the appearance of a fearsome new enemy on the horizon: Captain James Hook. “PETER, TAKE ME HOME!” says the shadow. Telling a Peter Pan story very different from those we have known, Dream Theatre probes the darker corners of Neverland and the selfish boy who forced it into being. This is the new adventure of Peter Pan and the younger sister who believed him to be dead for her entire life; after meeting him and Tinker Bell, it might have been better if that had been the case.
