Starts Friday, November 4 – Our Leading Lady Project 891 Theatre Company proudly announces the first show of its exciting 2011-2012 season featuring two Chicago premiers that ask the question: “How do we redefine normal after a national tragedy?” The regular season opens with Project 891 presenting the Midwest and Chicago premiers of “Our Leading Lady” by Charles Bush, directed by ensemble member Michael Rashid. “Our Leading Lady” follows the adventures of a group of actors, led by famed thespian Laura Keene, rehearsing for a performance at Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC on April 14, 1865. President Lincoln is rumored to be in the audience that night! What could possibly go wrong?
Sunday, November 6 – LATINO FASHION WEEK 2011 CLOSING PANEL: ART IN FASHION Chicago Latino Fashion takes the city by storm with its annual fall Chicago Latino Fashion Week, offering new looks and trends from local, national and international Latino designers. In this year’s theme of “Art in Fashion,” Latino Fashion Week will be highlighting and honoring the art that is fashion. To further grow and share a greater understanding of that art, there will be fashion events, artistic displays, lounges,and a three day Expo, with a variety of creative and educational presentations.
