The Femme Show Celebrates their “Femme Five” with their fifth-annual Boston area performance September 30 and October 1st at 8:00 PM at the Cambridge Family YMCA Theatre. The Femme Show explores all aspects of femme identity from a variety of queer perspectives. This is queer art for queer people; challenging, introspective, brazen, funny, sexy, and gritty but always powerful.
Saturday, October 1 Fabulous Fascinators: Learn to make hair ornaments with flowers and feathers Fascinators (hair ornaments) are all the rage, worn by burlesque dancers and royal wedding guests alike! In this workshop that combines hands-on practice with discussion and display, you will create glamorous hair ornaments in the form of flower clips and feather fascinators!
Saturday, October 1 MC KABIR and THE DUB DOWN CREW with special guests If you live in Boston and you are over 21, come on out to see some live hip hop and reggae on Saturday, October 1st. MC KABIR will be performing 2 sets of his original music with his regular band, The Dub Down Crew. The evening will also feature music by vocalists Sarah Brindell, Craig Akira and Jimmy T. This show marks the continuation of a monthly Saturday gig we’re playing at the Lizard Lounge. Come out and celebrate fall!
Every Thursday Wharf District Walking Food Tour Boston Food Finds conducts food tours throughout Boston and surrounding communities. Fun and food are the main ingredients in all of our tours. While tour stops are subject to change, past Greenway food tours have included the newly opened Blue Inc. restaurant, J. Hook Lobster, Silk Road BBQ food cart, Grilled Cheese Nation and Clover’s food trucks, an edible garden, the Dewey Square Farmers’ Market and 4-star Radius restaurant.
