Every Tuesday at noon, PST, Brown Paper Tickets will post upcoming events happening in the Bay Area. Here are hot tickets for events coming up. Check back for stellar events that fit the interests of locals and tourists alike.

Tomorrow, September 21 Peanut Butter and the Pen After School Program: 18 Reasons and Take My Word For It‘s after school creative writing class for 3rd – 5th graders! This series is perfect for the kid who loves to write or loves to eat (or both).

Thursday, September 22 14th Annual Music for People & Thingamajigs: The Music For People & Thingamajigs Festival is an annual event dedicated to promoting experimental music that incorporates made/found instruments and alternate tuning systems. Each year, MFP&T invites artists who design their own musical instruments to join in a festival of workshops, music making, and performances with the goal of reaching a large, diverse audience of all ages.

Thursday, September 22 Good Vibrations Indie Erotic Film Festival Short Film Competition! Good Vibrations, your favorite adult toy store, presents the hottest films of all flavors from around the world in seven minutes or less. Your drag queen hosts Peaches Christ, Hugz Bunny and Ladybear bring comic relief to the unusual experience of watching sex on screen with strangers, and Dr. Carol Queen calls out the short films’ sexological significance.

Saturday, September 24 Not So Short Shorts Program: Part of the San Francisco Latino Film Festival! This night of shorts includes Conscientious Objector,
Defender/Defensora, and The Healer/El Andalon (filmmakers in attendance!).

Sunday, September 25 RED STATE with Kevin Smith Q&A: Red State tells the story of a group of teens in Middle America who receive an online invitation for sex, but soon encounter fundamentalists with a much more sinister agenda. Balboa Theatre is showing this film with director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma) in attendance, with a Q&A to follow.

Sunday, September 25 915 Cayuga: 915 Cayuga is an episodic, old-time, radio-style, comedic variety show and podcast that follows the fictional world of a group of San Franciscans who have worked on a radio variety show called “915 Cayuga” for the past seven years. The show is taped about once-monthly in front of a live studio audience at Main Street Theatre and then then uploaded to the Internet for the world to enjoy.
