Sunday, September 18 Grow Your Own Mushrooms Love gourmet mushrooms? Curious about the medicinal benefits of fungi? This workshop will discuss several varieties of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms, including Shitake, Oyster, Maitake, Reishi, and Lion’s Mane, as well as several methods of cultivation. Participants will learn how to grow mushrooms in their own home, no matter how small the space. Presenter Allison Fastman will go over all the necessary materials, most of which are common household items, as well as how to get materials for little to no cost. In addition, participants will go home with oyster or shitake mushroom spawn and instructions for how to grow them at home!
