Northwest LoveFest: Feel the Love August 27 and 28!

22 Aug

Northwest LoveFest is coming up fast! This festival, based in our hometown of Seattle (in our home neighborhood of Fremont, even!), is right in tune with what we’re all about: healthy, sustainable communities, and a positive effect on humanity. So of course, we’re stoked to be ticketing for this festival. LoveFest has only grown in the past year, and it looks like it’s going to be an even bigger and better festival. And it’s only in year two!

LoveFest was founded in 2010 as an environmentally responsible celebration of creativity and social service. In tune with their philosophy that music festivals should have a positive effect on humanity and the environment, all carbon waste from the festival itself and all attendees will be offset in partnership with TerraPass. Other environmentally-friendly attributes of the festival include free water to all attendees who bring their own cup or bottle and even a free bike valet on-site!

Then, of course, the best part: the music. The lineup of LoveFest last year was incredibly diverse, and this year is no exception. Headlining the festival is soul and reggae outfit Luc and the Lovingtons and local hip-hop darlings Project Lionheart.

But it doesn’t stop there — from rock to blues to folk, bands from all down the West Coast are gathering for this incredible outdoor festival, including A Leaf, The Missionary Position, Lydia Ramsey, Polyrhythmics and Troup Hipnotica. The full line-up is available over on LoveFest’s website. All participating artists were hand-picked by festival organizers as those who consider community before personal profit.

Plus, it’s a great time. Look at how much fun everyone had last year!

This year’s festival runs two days, Saturday, August 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per day or $15 for both days, and are available right over here.
