Starts Friday, June 10 Memories and Fantasies The evening begins with “La grenouille à grande bouche” (The Big Mouth Frog) which is a popular story told to children in Quebec to practice proper French pronunciation. Next on the program is “What is Stable Shifts, What is Solid Slips”, a new dance work about decay, memory, and transformation. The second half of the evening is a presentation of “Jeanne’s Fantasy,” an excerpt from the opera “Jeanne” by Mark Warhol, which catches the heroine, Jeanne, day dreaming on the job.
Starts Friday, June 10 Journey to the Heart of X Minus One Back from the far recesses of time and space, Counter Productions Theatre is presenting a second round of its serial science fiction theatre experience, this time titled, “Journey to the Heart of X Minus One.” Tales from the original 1950’s radio broadcast, as well as original sci-fi shorts from local artists Alison Meirowitz McCarthy, Vincent Ularich and John Herman.

Saturday, June 11 Highland Park Garden Walk Walk behind the scenes – literally – into the verdant backyard gardens and green spaces of Highland Park/Fort Hill. View a rich profusion of flowers, visit the Garden Girl’s farm, stroll through an orchard, and visit community gardens and prize winners from the Mayor’s annual garden competition. The tour is led by the aptly-named Tom Plant, Director of Special Projects in the Environmental Health Office of the Boston Public Health Commission.
