Seattle friends: have you picked up this month’s Seattle Business Magazine yet? They wrote a great piece about our CEO Steve Butcher and CTO William Scott Jordan and the formation of Brown Paper Tickets’ consumer-empowering business plan.
The article discusses that, while ticketing companies with high service charges still ticket many stadium shows, we’ve done well with shows in small theaters and backyards — and this has allowed us to grow exponentially. And this growth has allowed us to do awesome new things, like our new site launch, social media capability and our upcoming mobile apps. And all of you, our customers and producers, have helped us create a community.
We like keeping our fees low. Low fees mean producers have more cash to put on more great events, and people have more money leftover to attend and support those events. Thanks so much to Seattle Business for helping us get our message out! Plus, that picture of Steve and William is just precious.
